Upper School students attend class 8–14 hours per week, depending on the level. Progression to the next level is based on the student’s mastery of the vocabulary and the physical understanding of the syllabus in his or her current level. Students receive a written progress report at the end of each school year.
Students age 8+, with previous ballet experience, who are new to Ballet Austin, are required to attend an audition/placement class to determine their acceptance and level.
Students age 11+, with no previous dance experience, should contact the Butler Center for Dance & Fitness at 512.501.8704 to get information regarding ballet and other dance and fitness classes.
Parking Guidance: Ongoing building and road construction projects around Ballet Austin's studios may cause temporary changes in traffic patterns, along with changes in access to Ballet Austin's east and west parking areas over the next few weeks. Please note directional traffic signs for the best way to access our on-site parking spaces and drop off or pick up Ballet Austin Academy students as well as Pilates Center and Butler Center for Dance & Fitness clients during the completion of these projects.
