Fitness & Pilates Workshops

Pilates & fitness workshops to help you get started and keep going

We offer conditioning classes and Pilates reformer workouts 7 days a week, but if you are looking to learn important Pilates, fitness, or conditioning techniques so that you work out correctly, or are guided through an exercise routine over a period of time (great accountability), workshops are a great option. Often an entry point when you are new or returning to a workout routine, workshops are taught by certified fitness and Pilates instructors, and will help you progress and feel confident about your workout. Workshops are generally 4 to 6 weeks in length. Attending regularly for a set period of time will motivate you and hold you accountable.

Better Balance & Movement Workshop

OFFERED AT NO COST - Enroll Now

According to the CDC, every second of every day in the United States an older adult falls, making falls the number one cause of injuries and deaths from injury among older Americans.

Beginning a balance program before getting to the point of a fall is essential in maintaining and promoting good balance and quality of life. Balance activities, balance exercises, and ongoing balance training can limit the loss or actually improve our performance. This workshop will focus on promoting and maintaining balance, coordination, and posture through a series of simple and repetitive brain and muscle exercises. The goal of ongoing balance training is to teach your brain how to quickly activate the right muscles in your body at the right time to help keep you upright.

Excellent for people of all ages, but especially beneficial to the older adult or those dealing with the affects of neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke. It can also be helpful for individuals recovering from injury, experiencing declining vision, hearing and muscle strength.

Like anything else in life good balance is about practice. We tend to get good at sitting due to practice, so get out of the chair and let's balance our lives for healthier aging!

Everyone welcome! Family members and caregivers are welcome to attend as well.

Osteo-Strong | Low Impact Bone-Builder Workout

Offered at NO COST and now offered on our weekly drop-in schedule which allows you the flexibility to start any time and come when you can!

Fun music combined with safe weight-bearing make this an excellent weekly class. And it's FREE!

A strong skeleton is just as important as a healthy heart. Bones form the frame that keeps our body from collapsing. Osteopenia and osteoporosis can happen as we get older, but we can prevent unnecessary bone loss, and even improve bone health with proper exercise and nutrition.

Not only does exercise improve your bone health, it also increases muscle strength, coordination, and balance, and leads to better overall health.

This class focuses on learning simple and safe weight-bearing and muscle-strengthening exercises you can do at work and home on a daily basis that will maintain bone density and help slow bone density loss.

Weights are used during class. A variety of weights are available.

If you have health problems—such as heart trouble, high blood pressure, diabetes, or obesity—or if you are age 50 or older and have not been exercising, you may want to check with your doctor before you begin.
