Welcome to our new season!

Join us as we embark on an exciting season of wonderment and delight, combining the best that dance has to offer.

From the commanding classical combination of music and vocals that powers Carmina Burana, to the sexy, jazz-inspired work of George Balanchine’s Rubies, this season has something for everyone.  We are proud to announce the acquisition of renowned choreographer Christopher Wheeldon’s dance work, Ghosts. Known all over the world for his innovation in movement, Wheeldon’s work can be seen on Broadway in the recent production of An American in Paris. Additionally, I will be bringing you a world premiere contemporary work to be unveiled in March 2020.

We’re also revisiting an Austin audience favorite, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare’s most hilarious "comedy of errors." Since its debut, it has been performed by many ballet companies across the country as well as at the prestigious John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy has never been more fun to watch—or dance! Spend Mother’s Day weekend with us as we conclude our season with this charming production that’s perfect for all ages.

We're saving you a seat and invite you to enjoy special benefits at the theater reserved exclusively for donors. Become a Ballet Austin VIP and join our mission to create new art and artists.

The dancers and I truly appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you in the audience!
