BECOME A DONOR

It Takes YOU!

Before the curtain rises, dancers spend hours in rehearsal, costumes are carefully tailored, and crew members make stage and lighting preparations. But most importantly, you make it all possible!

Support from the community allows Ballet Austin to bring five annual productions to the stage each season, as ticket sales cover only a portion of the cost to make this happen. Your generosity helps bridge this gap.

Ballet Austin is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN 74-6060386) and your donation is 100% tax deductible.

Annual Donor Benefits

In appreciation of your gift, you will receive benefits designed to provide behind-the-scenes access to the works we bring to the stage and enhance your experience at performances.

DONOR ADVISED FUND

A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable giving vehicle where individuals or organizations make contributions to a fund, which is then managed by a public charity. You control when and how much to give and can minimize your income tax liability while still contributing to charitable organizations.

Below is the information you may need to make a donation through your DAF.

Official legal name: Ballet Austin, Inc.
Federal EIN number: 74-6060386
Mailing address:
501 W. 3rd Street
Attn: Development Department
Austin, TX 78701

If you require additional information, please contact Brooke Holmes, Associate Director of Individual Giving, brooke.holmes@balletaustin.org or 512.476.9151, ext. 114

QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION

A Qualified Charitable Distribution* (QCD) is a direct transfer of funds from an IRA to a qualified charitable organization. At age 70 ½ and older, you can direct that up to $108,000 be distributed annually from your IRA to BAF; and if you are age 73 or older, this distribution will count toward satisfying the required minimum distribution (RMD) you must take each year from your IRA. Your taxable income is lower due to the contribution, which, in turn, may reduce your applicable tax rate and increase access to other tax benefits.

*A gift in the form of a Qualified Charitable Deduction does not offer a tax deduction, rather it reduces taxable income.

Below is the information you may need as well as benefits to you for this type of donation:

Official legal name: Ballet Austin, Inc.
Federal EIN number: 74-6060386

TRANSFER OF STOCK

A donation of stock allows you to receive the tax deduction of the current market value of the stock at the time of your gift, depending on your adjusted gross income and contribution base, and you will not owe capital gains tax on your stock’s appreciation. Electronic delivery of stock shares is the fastest and most secure way to make this type of donation.

If you would like to make a donation of stock or have questions about making a stock transfer, please contact Brooke Holmes, Associate Director of Individual Giving, at brooke.holmes@balletaustin.org or 512.476.9151, ext.114.
