Absolute Beginning Ballet Workshop
All adults welcome! No need to be a member of Dell JCC to enroll. This workshop is one of the most popular Ballet Austin offers. And yes, we start at the absolute beginning. Designed for adults who have never had a ballet class, this workshop teaches ballet from the very beginning. At the end of the session, you will have learned some of the fundamental positions, vocabulary, and basic principles of ballet. Ballet is also a wonderful, low impact way to stay active!

A T-shirt and/or shorts over your leotard are just fine if you feel more comfortable. Men may wear shorts or warm-ups and t-shirt. Ballet technique shoes required; canvas is recommended but leather is fine. Any dancewear store will carry shoes and dancewear but we do recommend Movin’ Easy at 7756 Northcross Drive.

Beginning Ballet 2 Workshop
All adults welcome! No need to be a member of Dell JCC to enroll. Beginning Ballet 2 is for adults who wish to continue the work of the Absolute Beginning Ballet Workshop, or have had an introduction to basic ballet. The Beginning Ballet 2 workshop will add more complex combinations and center floor work and will develop confidence, coordination, strength, flexibility, and body awareness.
Adult ballet classes offer a fun way to move your body & stay active, while learning ballet technique.

Absolute Beginning Jazz Dance
All adults welcome! No need to be a member of Dell JCC to enroll. This Workshop teaches the basic technique & principles of Jazz Dance. Jazz Dance is a fun and expressive Dance form, usually set to upbeat music. The style, also, pulls inspiration from Ballet, Tap and Hip Hop Dance forms to create a melting pot of a movement style.
It is a great class for anyone interested in learning how to Dance while wanting something a little more upbeat than Ballet. This is also a great class to take, if you are new to dance and looking for a boost of confidence and knowledge. And what a GREAT workout it can be!

All adults welcome! No need to be a member of Dell JCC to enroll. This is a Dell JCC Workshop learning the fundamentals of Contemporary Dance. Contemporary Dance blends classical ballet, modern, and other dance styles for the perfect jumping off point for self-expression. This is a great workshop for anyone interested in learning the technique of Contemporary dance, while diving into this emotive style of movement. It is also a great class to take, if you are new to dance and looking for a boost of confidence and knowledge.
Explore and experience the rich range of contemporary dance. Open to Adults 16 and older. Warm and welcoming environment!

All adults welcome! No need to be a member of Dell JCC to enroll. Join adults of all ages in a welcoming and fun environment and experience the joy of dance! Come explore Hip Hop Dance movement, have fun, and be a part of our adult dance community, no matter your age! Not only will you learn to dance, but will find a new favorite way to get your workout in!
Hip hop dancing improves energy, lifts mood and lowers stress in ways similar to aerobic exercise. That’s in addition to the fun and laughter guaranteed in every session!
