Ballet Austin’s Pilates Studio @ JCC is located in the beautiful Dell Jewish Community Center, 7300 Hart Ln, Austin, TX 78731.

Ballet Austin is excited to open a state-of-the-art Pilates studio at the JCC, offering both group reformer classes and private and duet sessions.

Whether you want to strengthen your core, rehab from an injury, improve flexibility and balance, or power through a dynamic workout, Pilates offers benefits no matter your age or level of fitness. Whether a beginner to exercise, or an elite athlete, a Pilates reformer workout is one of the best things you can do for you!

Group Reformer Classes @ JCC

For those who prefer a group Pilates reformer workout rather than a personal trainer approach, we offer Pilates Reformer Group classes.

  • Basic-level reformer classes – No experience required and everyone is welcome!
  • Experienced-level reformer classes – for those who have experience (all levels) on the reformer.

Group Reformer classes allow you to start any time and come when you can. Sign up for a single class or book a recurring reservation*.

Follow these steps to get started with Pilates in the Pilates Group Reformer Basic-level class:

  • Check the schedule
  • Sign up for a class
  • When directed to make a purchase for the class you can pay the single rate or purchase a package (group reformer packages can be used to attend any of the group classes.
  • *NOTE: If you sign up for a class, please note that there is a 12-hour cancellation policy for Pilates. If you do not cancel your reservation before the 12-hour window you will be charged as if you had attended.

What is Pilates and what are the benefits?

Pilates is a system of more than 500 exercises that condition the whole body as well as engage the mind. The blend of resistance, strength and flexibility training improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles without bulking up. Pilates works the entire body simultaneously through continuous motion, with a specific focus on the core, the body’s “powerhouse” (abdomen, back and pelvic region).

What can I expect in my first Pilates Session?

Your first session is all about you.

  • Learn about the Pilates equipment, how Pilates works, and be introduced to the basic Pilates exercises.
  • Our professionally certified instructors will individualize a workout program that is safe and challenging, focusing on your body’s needs.
  • Feel free to ask lots of questions!
  • Keep in mind that Pilates, like anything else, takes practice and time.
