Before the curtain rises, dancers spend hours in rehearsal, costumes are carefully tailored, and crew members make stage and lighting preparations. But most importantly, you make it all possible!
Support from the community allows Ballet Austin to bring five annual productions to the stage each season, as ticket sales cover only a portion of the cost to make this happen. Your generosity helps bridge this gap.
Ballet Austin is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN 74-6060386) and your donation is 100% tax deductible.

Benefits to you:
- At age 72 and older, you can avoid income tax on the required minimum distribution (RMD) by contributing up to $100,000 to the Ballet Austin Foundation from your IRA. Note: At age 70 ½ you can begin distributing a charitable donation though there is no required minimum distribution until age 72.
- Your taxable income is lower due to the contribution, which, in turn, may reduce your applicable tax rate and increase access to other deductions, credits and various tax breaks. Some examples of these are limiting higher taxes on Social Security benefits, receiving lower Medicare premiums and possibly reducing the 3.8% surtax on net investment income.
