2025/26 PRODUCTIONS
Ballet is an art form in constant motion. My goal has always been to honor the classical foundations while pushing the boundaries of what ballet can be. This season, we continue that pursuit with a collection of works that embody our commitment to being “classically innovative.”
We open the season with GRIMM TALES, a bold reimagining of 19th-century fairy tales that takes audiences into the shadowy space between innocence and experience. This haunting and provocative production lingers long after the final bow.
No season would be complete without THE NUTCRACKER, our candy-colored holiday tradition that brings joy and creates memories year after year.
During OF MEMORY AND MOTION: AN EVENING WITH STEPHEN MILLS, I share a curated selection of works that hold deep meaning for me—pieces that have shaped my career and continue to inspire my artistic voice. This special evening will be a reflection of the journey that has led me here and a glimpse into where we are headed next.
We then turn our attention to my newest World Premiere, MARIE ANTOINETTE, a visually stunning and emotionally resonant ballet that explores the complexities of power, privilege, and humanity. Made possible through the generosity of The Butler New Choreography Endowment, we invite you to step inside the opulent but turbulent world of this iconic figure.
We close the season with THE MAGIC FLUTE, a whimsical adventure featuring playful choreography, captivating Cambodian shadow puppetry, and stunning visuals. This enchanting adaptation of Mozart’s beloved opera weaves a tale of fantasy and romance, creating a magical journey for audiences of all ages.
As we embark on this next chapter together, I invite you to join us in celebrating the beauty of tradition and the thrill of the new. Your support, enthusiasm, and love for dance fuel our creative spirit and drive us forward.
With gratitude,
STEPHEN MILLS

Not all fairy tales are meant for children. Stephen Mills’ Grimm Tales reveals the cautionary truths lurking beneath the surface of 19th-century fairy tales. Inspired by the provocative, large format gouache and pastel drawings of feminist painter Natalie Frank, this mesmerizing production immerses audiences in a world where innocence meets darkness. With an original score by Graham Reynolds, costumes by Tony Award-nominated designer Constance Hoffman, and an awe-inspiring set by George Tsypin, Grimm Tales is a hauntingly beautiful experience that will leave you spellbound.
