Since 2008, COME DANCE, Ballet Austin’s FREE Day of Dance has been our gift back to our community; your day to experience the JOY of dance!
We open our doors on August 25, 2024 and invite you to come dance FREE! DANCE for the JOY of it! No experience necessary!
The scientific evidence is in. Dance is a great workout, boosts mood, is good for your mental health, and is fun! So Come Dance!
COME DANCE Sunday, August 25!
COME DANCE, Ballet Austin’s FREE Day of Dance is a favorite day every year. Whether you’ve danced before or have never danced a step in your life, Come Dance is designed as a fun-filled day for all dance levels and is your opportunity to sample a variety of our regular dance classes offered year-round for adults.

*We expect classes to FILL TO CAPACITY prior to August 25. If your plans change and you can no longer attend the class (es) you signed up for at COME DANCE, please cancel your reservation as soon as possible so that someone else may have your spot.
Who can attend? And how to sign up!
Classes are geared towards adults of all ages and ability levels. We invite everyone to come dance*! No dance experience? No problem! This day is for you!
While classes are geared towards adults, we welcome ages 16 and older to attend the Come Dance event. (Thank you for not bringing younger children to this event.)

Classes will be held inside in the studios at Ballet Austin’s Butler Dance Education Center, 501 W. 3rd St. in downtown Austin.

FREE Parking While Attending Come Dance!
Yes! We have arranged for FREE parking! Be sure to read location of garage carefully as we can only provide FREE parking in the State Garage N listed below:
- You may park FREE in the white State Parking Garage N (directly across the street to the north of Ballet Austin – across 3rd St)) when attending classes at COME DANCE on August 25.
- State Garage N – Located at 300 San Antonio Street, Austin TX 78701
- Enter garage from San Antonio St. between 3rd and 4th St.
Important Garage FREE Access Instructions will be posted in August and emailed to those who sign up for classes.
Food Drive at Come Dance 2024
While Come Dance is a FREE event, we ask everyone to bring a non-perishable food item for our community food drive if able.
Ballet Austin is a community partner with Black Women in Business, helping to collect food for their Community Impact Food Drive. Their reach is wide, serving people who live on the margins and often fall through the cracks of other service programs. Bring a non-perishable food item when you come to class on 8/25! We are hoping to gather thousands of non-perishable food items again this year. THANK YOU!
