GETTING TO THE LONG CENTER - ARRIVE EARLY

🚧 PLAN AHEAD: Road Closure Near The Long Center

The Long Center informed Ballet Austin that the City of Austin Reclaimed Water Project near the Long Center required the closure of westbound traffic on Riverside Drive (The Long Center’s “front door”)  from South 1st Street to the traffic circle.

Please note:

  • No left turn onto Riverside Dr. from southbound S. Lamar Blvd.
  • No right or left turn onto Riverside Dr. from S. First St.

Parking

How to access your VIP Valet or VIP Self-Parking:

The Valet and PEC Garage Riverside entrance will be accessible via eastbound Riverside Dr. by turning right from S. Lamar Blvd. or Lee Barton Dr.

Please note, there is NO left turn onto Riverside Dr. from southbound South Lamar Blvd. and there is NO right or left turn onto Riverside Dr. from South First St. Please see the below map and feel free to reach out to Brooke Holmes at brooke.holmes@balletaustin.org if you have any questions.

Click map to enlarge

Display your Valet Parking Tag on your rearview mirror for your Complimentary Valet Parking accessed by using the first Long Center entrance off Riverside Drive, following the above arrival directions

Click map to enlarge

VIP Garage Self-Parking is available in the on-site parking garage located at The Long Center using the second entrance off eastbound Riverside Drive, following the above arrival directions (see map below). Give your A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM VIP Garage Voucher to the attendant as you enter the garage. VIP Self-Parking is located immediately to your left as you enter the garage. Display your Valet Parking Tag on your rearview mirror for access to the VIP section of the garage.

Riverside Drive is closed westbound in front of the Long Center for the run — let your driver know before you request the ride.

  • Consider a drop-off/pick-up point away from Riverside Drive, such as near RiverSouth Garage (401 S. 1st St.) or along Barton Springs Road, to avoid getting routed into construction traffic at the garage and circle drive.
  • Allow extra time for pickup after the show, as traffic patterns near the venue may shift due to construction.

Drop-off guidance may be updated closer to opening as the Long Center finalizes a recommended location.

The Palmer Events Center garage has 24 accessible/handicapped parking spaces located closest to the elevators on each level.

  • Patrons may also enter the valet line through the first entrance to the Long Center off of Riverside Drive and pull up to the curb to drop off guests with mobility challenges at the main entrance.
  • Elevator access is available through the Ground Level lobby door next to the box office.
  • Staff will be available to direct you should you need assistance.
