Ballet Austin’s summer ballet programs offer engaging and structured classes designed to nurture young dancers. Students receive age-appropriate instruction in a fun, supportive environment. Our Austin ballet classes for kids are available in two locations.

Summer Enrollment Open Now for Ages 15 Months to 10 Years

Now enrolling for Ballet Austin’s summer ballet program for children (ages 15 months to 10 years). Enrolling June 23 – August 3, 2025

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

• Pre-Ballet 7 and Below: Register based on age as of June 1, 2025.
• Level 1 and Above: Register based on 2024/25 year-end evaluations.

• Ages 7 and Under: Placed according to age as of June 1, 2025.
• Ages 8 to 10 (No Ballet Experience): Automatically placed in Level 1.
• Ages 8 to 18 (With Ballet Experience): Submit a Digital Audition for level placement.

ACADEMY DIVISIONS & CLASS SCHEDULE

Young Children’s Division (Ages 15 months – 5 years)

Students of our youngest division are gently introduced to the joy of dance through imaginative stories and games. Not only are they having fun but our curriculum is designed to enhance physical, cognitive, social and emotional skills.

Pre-Ballet Division (Age 6 & 7)

With just the right amount of creativity and structure, students are gently prepared for formal ballet instruction. By introducing students to the basic terminology, positions, postures and traditions of classical ballet, the curriculum enhances both cognitive and physical development.

Elementary Division (Ages 8-10)

Formal ballet training begins at a rate that allows all students to learn exercises correctly and with full physicality. Repetition and slow deliberate work is emphasized as the students learn discipline and control of their bodies.
