Community is at the core of Ballet Austin’s Mission. Ballet Austin acknowledges the arts as essential to the growth and development of all people, and we believe that the arts impact the way that we see the world and serve as an avenue to express ideas.
Learn more about the programs we offer for our community in the sections below. All of these programs serve Austin-area 501(c)(3) non-profits.
Night of Community
Night of Community is sponsored by the Georgia B. Lucas Foundation Fund of the Austin Community Foundation, Wells Fargo, and Reaud Foundation.
Ballet Austin welcomes Central Texas 501(c)(3) non-profit social service organizations and their clients to join us for Night of Community, our final dress rehearsal of each production. The goal of this program is to offer financially-challenged community members an opportunity to attend a live ballet performance for free.
The mission of Ballet Austin’s Community Donation Program is to support the efforts of 501(c)(3) non-profit social service and arts organizations serving financially-challenged women, children, and seniors in the Austin and immediately surrounding areas. Through this program Ballet Austin is able to donate performance tickets to support other organizations in their fundraising efforts.
Workplace Wellness Talks
Sponsored by Texas Mutual
Two of Ballet Austin’s core values include ‘Encouraging Lifelong Health and Well-Being’ and ‘Enriching our Community.’ We desire to connect with the Austin community to inspire and encourage people to develop habits for life and to promote positive and effective culture teams in the family, the workplace, and beyond.
In addition to providing FREE BeWell Talks, Vicki Parsons, Director of Ballet Austin’s Butler Center for Dance & Fitness, is also available for corporate or conference training, team building and professional development topics.
