International Dance Day was founded in 1982 by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute and is celebrated worldwide every year on April 29. The goal of International Dance Day is to celebrate dance, to revel in the universality of this art form, to cross all political, cultural and ethnic barriers and bring people together with a common language—dance. International Dance Day is celebrated across the world on April 29.
We hope you will join us as we celebrate International Dance Day. A variety of classes all afternoon; fun dances from countries and cultures around the world, and dances that have defined the culture of a country. Signing up for a class ahead of time is highly recommended. Payment of $9 required per class. Many classes fill to capacity before April 29.

Ages: Classes are open to adults and teens ages 13 and older on International Dance Day*. We welcome families on International Dance Day with children ages 8-12 when accompanied by a parent/adult. Children must be signed up for a class as well in order to attend. Ages 13 and older are welcome to participate without a parent.
*Classes on our regular class schedule year round are open to adults and teens ages 15 and older.
Cost**: $9 per class
Classes often fill to and will close if they reach capacity. Signing up ahead of time is strongly encouraged.

CITY HALL: Entrance located on Guadalupe between W. Cesar Chavez and 2nd Streets | Available every day, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Cost = First 2 hours FREE with validated parking ticket.
Bring your Austin City Hall garage ticket with you for validation at the front desk of the Butler Dance Education Center.

Parking in this location is available to Ballet Austin customers weekdays after 4:30 p.m. CT and all day on weekends. Each $3 voucher is good for TWO (2) HOURS, so purchase as many vouchers as you need to cover your time at this location.
500 W. 2nd Street Building | Garage entrance located on San Antonio between 2nd Street & 3rd Street | Available weekdays after 4:30 p.m. CT and all day weekends | Cost = $3 | Buy parking vouchers in advance or after parking at Ballet Austin.

Ballet Austin's Butler Center for Dance & Fitness offers more than 70 Drop-in classes 7 days a week. First class is FREE.
Workshops are designed to introduce you to principles and methods of a particular workout, in 4 or 6 weeks.
