Ballet Austin partners with the Long Center each summer for Rhythm on Stage. Come dance and experience what it’s like to take center stage inside the Long Center’s Dell Hall. That's right! You will be dancing on the stage where Ballet Austin performs! This all-ages event welcomes the entire family for a night of FREE fun, featuring dance styles from around the world. Ballet Austin's Butler Center for Dance & Fitness offers more than 70 Drop-in classes 7 days a week. First class is FREE.
Workshops are designed to introduce you to principles and methods of a particular workout, in 4 or 6 weeks.
Summer is a great time for kids, pre-teens and teens to have fun learning something new or continuing what you love. DANCE!
The Long Center offers nearby parking in two garages within easy walking distance of the theater:
1.) One Texas Center, located at the southeast corner of S. 1st Street and Barton Springs Road, is a quick four-minute walk from the venue and is easier to access and depart before and after performances. There is an $8 charge per vehicle to park in this structure. Enter this garage off of Haywood Avenue.
2.) City of Austin's Palmer Events Center Garage, located behind and to the east of the Long Center. This structure has two entrances—the South Entrance on Barton Springs Road and North Entrance on Riverside Drive. There is an $8 charge per vehicle to park in this structure.
