ACADEMY DIVISIONS & CLASS SCHEDULE

Young Children’s Division (Ages 2 months to 5)

Students of our youngest division, age 2 months to 5, are gently introduced to the joy of dance through imaginative stories and games. Not only are they having fun but our curriculum is designed to enhance physical, cognitive, social and emotional skills.

Pre-Ballet Division (Ages 6 & 7)

With just the right amount of creativity and structure, students age 6 & 7 are gently prepared for formal ballet instruction. By introducing students to the basic terminology, positions, postures and traditions of classical ballet, the curriculum enhances both cognitive and physical development.

Elementary Division (Age 8 – 12)

Formal ballet training begins at a rate that allows all students to learn exercises correctly and with full physicality. Repetition and slow deliberate work is emphasized as the students learn discipline and control of their bodies.

Intermediate & Advanced Division

Members of Ballet Austin’s uppermost Academy division possess the discipline and determination to commit to a serious ballet program, as well as the required technical ability and physical strength to master the challenging curriculum.
